Flowers..Photos..

Dear Readers,

The photo was taken using my new casia exslim camera (10 mega pixels) during my week end stay at a resort near puncak, indonesia. I don't know their "biological" names.

I believe this one very common one.
Taken around 3 PM, this flower falls off by evening. And new set of flower by the morning.

This is intersting photo like star flower. Look at them close, yes there is ant.

Reddish one...

Purple (Cone) flower..

See the rich of color...

This is one is another interesting photo. This is not a flower. A stem, it just started growing its leaves.

What you think..?

Red ones...

Hope you enjoy the photos.

Jakarta Race 2008 - Photos

Dear Readers,

I participate in Jakarta Race organised by Four seasons hotel, HSBC once i know all the proceeds from the race goes to "Yayasan Kankar Indonesia" (Indonesian Cancer Foundataion / Institution)
I took the 5km fun run race with my 6 year old son. Fun Run Race was a Fun, please jog, walk, sit...just cross the sudirman and go the finish line. Yes, it was fun to see them.

The race started at 7 from an empty land between the land mark building and four seasons hotel. The race course is Jalan (Road) sudirman heading towards south direction and take "U" turn on the Plaza Semanggi junction and back the same place.

We follow the 10 KM (after a 10 min pause) racers. It was not a surprise to see 70 percent of the participants are non asians (mostly westeners) for the long race.

Here are some of the photos from the race, thanks to my friend Victor.

People at the starting point, waiting for the flag.

Light @ Cairnhill, Singapore Apartment...

Dear Readers,

I would like to share it with you about my personal stay experience in the "The Light at Cairnhill", Singapore. Though it has 3 MRT station nearby (distance from 0.6 KM to 0.9 KM) i dont really recommand you to walk up hill after your hectic business meeting all the day on singapore high humid weather. But getting done from the uphill is somewhat easy and fun to do.

The apartment is well located and has all shopping places (like Tang, Paragon, Wisma Atiri, old fashioned Lucky Plaza) and Mt.Elizabeth Hospital (if you plan to do your medical check ups).
With private lifts and all basic necessary facilites the apartment attracts many expats with monthly leasing charges starts from 9000 dollar for double bed room apartment.

Here is some of the photos our apartment.

The Best Bus System in The World....

Dear Readers,

Java Island in indonesia is a race-track to eighty million motorcycles. And the world's best bus transportation system.

The Bus Transportation is divided into four categories. Plush air-conditioned cruisers, Executive Buses, Economy Buses and ankots(Covered mini-vans). They connect the whole island and ply in all villages; towns and cities.Ankots and Economy buses are staffed by a driver and conductor. They provide the ultimate in customer-service. They will die for their customer. Sadly, sometimes they do. Service on board Singapore Airlines pales in comparison.

Ankots and Economy buses stop anywhere for their customers. Even in the middle of a busy road or in the centre of an intersection. If they can't for some reason, stop, run alongside, and the conductor who hangs out of the back door, will sweep you up gracefully into the vehicle. Many Economy buses and ankots provide a mini live band for customer entertainment (I swear this is true). Customers pay a humble two cents for this. Iced drinks, snacks, newspapers and cigarettes are sold on board. You can even sometimes buy something as extraordinary as a Javanese speaking parrot.

There seems to be millions of buses. Especially Economy buses and Ankots. There is one born every minute. As a result transportation for a traveler is excellent. A wait for a bus in a town or city rarely exceeds five minutes. A great way to meet Javanese.

More personalized transportation is available.” Ojeks,” or motorcycle taxis are available to take you anywhere and especially where buses can't go. The fare averages around 50cents with including free use of the helmet. Traffic rules don't apply to “ojeks” therefore they take the shortest distance between two points, even if it means going against the traffic or leaping over road dividers.

Thank you, Readers.
